Caledon Mayor Allan Thompson has accepted a gift of $50,000 from the Caledon Trailway Book Committee to be used for railway enhancements. The money represents book sales since the launch in November 2019.
As local retailers reopen, you can find the book at the following: Caledon East Pharmasave; Caledon Hills Cycling, Inglewood; Cheltenham General Store, Davis Feed & Farm Supply, Caledon East; River Ridge Cafe, Palgrave. All proceeds from these sales goes directly to the Trailway.
Please note that the Caledon Public Library cannot sell copies at present due to COVID19.
The following retail stores also carry the book: Book Lore, Orangeville; Forster's Book Garden, Bolton; Sproule's Emporium, Orangeville.
Each Book Committee member has books available for sale. See About Us for details.
The book was written, edited and published by volunteers. The only costs incurred were professional graphic design, printing and other expenses related to permissions and promotion. Thanks to our generous donors, these costs have been paid. In October 2020, the Book Committee presented the Town of Caledon with $50,000 to be used for trailway enhancements. Book sales will continue to benefit the trailway.
